ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — Albany County is set to receive $4.6 million over the next 12 years as part of a settlement with pharmaceutical companies such as CVS and Walgreens tied to the damage caused by highly addictive opioids, county officials said. To date, the county has received $8.4 million in opioid settlement funds.
Albany County Executive Dan McCoy announced that $460,000 in grants will be awarded in the first round of funding to support addiction care centers and drug prevention efforts.
