TROY, NY (NEWS10) — Only four teams remain in each classification in the New York State softball tournaments. On Saturday, three teams representing Section 2 punched their ticket to the state final four.
Averill Park, Chatham and Fort Ann are moving on to the semifinals in Binghamton after their wins on Saturday. Results from the regional games can be found below, highlights from games in bold can be viewed in the video player above.
- Class A regional final: No. 5 Averill Park defeats No. 6 New Hartford (Sec. 3), 9-1
- Class B regional final: No. 1 Chatham defeats No. 10 Canton (Sec. 10), 9-0
- Class D regional final: No. 3 Fort Ann defeats No. 14 Crown Point (Sec. 7), 6-0
The three winners from Saturday will join Class AAA’s Saratoga Springs and Class C’s Galway in the state semifinals as Section 2 representatives. The final four is scheduled to take place throughout the day on Friday, June 12th at Greenlight Networks Grand Slam Park in Binghamton…
