ALBANY — Cameras are rolling on “Bridgeport,” the working title for “The Conjuring: First Communion” prequel, with 1940s-era vehicles, streetlamps and victory gardens lining portions of N. Pine Avenue along with production trucks, cameras and lighting equipment, giving several blocks of the Pine Hills neighborhood a Hollywood makeover.
Filming officially began on Monday, and continues through the week with both daytime and nighttime shoots planned for the street. Residents and passers-by were notified of the shooting schedule via flyers posted around the neighborhood, with parking restrictions and street closures taking effect at various points.
On Tuesday, the film crew was busy setting up a shot outside a home on N. Pine Avenue. The scene involved two young children, one boy and one girl, crouched down to plant seeds — or possibly something else — in the front yard of a house on the western side of the street.
