HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Thousands of people lost power in the Capital Region on Friday morning. The outages impacted Rensselaer and Washington Counties.

The majority of affected properties had their power restored by 1:30 p.m. National Grid confirmed the outages were caused by trees falling on powerlines in the area.
