WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) — A Schenectady woman has been arrested in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation. Watervliet Police were alerted via a Flock camera notification to a stolen vehicle entering the City of Watervliet from Green Island at about 5 p.m. on Thursday.

Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the McDonald’s located at 100 16th Street, and confirmed the registration and that the vehicle status’ was stolen. A traffic stop was initiated in the area of Broadway and 14th Street after the vehicle left the parking lot.
The driver, 33-year-old Tatiana St. Laurent, and the front seat passenger were removed from the vehicle and detained. Officers searched the vehicle and located a backpack in the back seat containing a loaded magazine in plain view.

A further search of the backpack revealed a Ruger 9MM handgun. Police found that St. Laurent does not possess a New York State pistol permit.
At the end of the investigation, St. Laurent was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree.
St. Laurent was arraigned in Watervliet City Court and released on her own recognizance…
