Logan Whitaker has yet to spend his first day roaming the hallways at Niskayuna High School and the lacrosse standout already finds himself as a member of a national team.
Whitaker, who spent much of his eighth-grade lacrosse season in 2026 competing for the JV team before being summoned to the varsity level, attended a few summer camps and earned an invitation to the USA Lacrosse 15-and-under Team Combine held in Maryland in July. A total of 100 players attended that event.
Tuesday, Whitaker was named one of 24 athletes selected to the U.S. Boys’ U15 Youth National Team. A face-off specialist who also plays defense, Whitaker was one of eight New York players named to the squad comprised of athletes for the Class of 2029, Class of 2030 and Class of 2031…
