MOREAU, N.Y. (WNYT)- A Saratoga County man is accused of trying to kill his 77-year-old mother after prosecutors said she tried to protect him from an online financial scam.
The indictment against Aaron Gookin of Moreau alleges he hit his mother in the head with a piece of wood and seriously hurt her. Prosecutors said he then strangled her during the February attack.
