The product recall stems from a reported issue involving fuel leaking from the carburetor when first being filled, introducing a potential for fires and a grave risk of burn-related injuries. The generators were sold for between $600 and $1,300 at nationwide home improvement retailers such as Home Depot and Lowe’s between May 2025 and February 2026.
Recalled Generac generator products
Customers should refrain from using the generators and visit Generac’s website to determine if their model and serial number has been recalled. Affected buyers are encouraged to contact their Generac dealer to arrange for a free repair.
