Using an eye from the sky, the boy was found safe
With the help of some alert neighbors and drone technology, Colonie Police were able to find an 8 year old who had gone missing Monday morning. A call came in around 8:30am from someone who spotted a child with no shoes walking alone on one of the town bike paths.
Officers Dan Kutney and Dan Franklin are both members of the departments Unmanned Aerial Systems unit – they flew drone over the area near where the child had been spotted, eventually leading police to find him in a playground about a half mile from where he was last seen…
