ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — On Monday, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that more than $100 million will now be available for clean energy upgrades in public schools across the state. It’s all a part of the Clean Green Schools Initiative, which provides funding for energy and cost efficient solutions for P-12 educational buildings.
NYSERDA also announced more than $41 million has been awarded to five priority districts across the state for the same purpose.
“There is no better investment in the future than in our children, and providing them with a better environment to learn and grow,” said Doreen Harris, president and CEO of NYSERDA.
