New market brings local businesses and the arts together

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — A brand new vendor market made its debut in Albany. The idea came about to connect local businesses together over the arts.

Mini Makers Spring Fling had eight small businesses gatherer in the Crestwood Plaza parking lot. Some of the offerings included handmade goods like pottery and live pet portraits along with tarot card readings. Rachele Feisthamel, owner of Pearl’s Bagels and Bakery was pleased with its first market.

“People are waiting in line, getting their bagels and their coffee and their coming and peruse everybody. But what this means is it’s really a sign of hope. It’s a sign that we’re all out and we’re supporting one another and we’re all in this together.”…
