Cherry Hill event brings Revolutionary history to life

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) — Celebrating 250 years of American independence – Albany’s historic Cherry Hill welcomed the community in for its annual history fair.

The home, now a museum, was first owned by Philip Van Rensselaer, a local leader in the American fight for liberty from Great Britain.

Visitors experienced 18th century activities such as churning butter and weaving – while also seeing memorabilia and clothing from the time period up close. A panel discussing the many perspectives of those who fought for the Revolution – or did not – was featured as well…
