Albany man arrested on felony gun, drug charges after investigation, sheriff says

Albany, NY (WRGB) — An Albany man was arrested Friday afternoon after investigators said he was found with a loaded handgun and crack cocaine packaged for distribution.

Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. reported that on Friday, May 1, 2026, at about 12:08 p.m., members of the Albany County Sheriff’s Community Oriented Policing Effort (SCOPE) Unit conducted a narcotics investigation in the area of Grand Street and Madison Avenue in Albany.

As a result of the investigation, authorities said 23-year-old Dize Miller was found to be in possession of a loaded .22-caliber Walther gun containing 12 rounds of ammunition, along with a quantity of crack cocaine. Investigators said the narcotics were packaged for distribution…
