LANSINGBURGH, N.Y. (NEWS10)– The Troy Police Department is actively investigating a reported shooting that happened Wednesday night inside a Lansingburgh apartment. According to the police department, a female victim is currently being treated for serious injuries.

According to police, around 10:30 p.m. officers were dispatched to 750 2nd Avenue in Lansingburgh for reports of an injured female. Upon arrival, they reported finding a female victim with a gunshot wound.
Police said the involved suspect reportedly left the scene before emergency calls were made. A preliminary investigation has determined that the two knew each other and were inside the apartment together when the incident happened.
According to the department, detectives continued to investigate throughout the night and pursed multiple leads. Detectives are asking anyone who hasn’t been interviewed yet and may have information on the incident to contact them at (518) 270-4411.
