ALTAMONT — At about $2.76 million, the village of Altamont’s adopted budget for next year is up about 2.4 percent from this year’s spending plan.
The village board of trustees unanimously adopted next year’s plan during its April 14 meeting.
The tax rate for next year will rise to about $2.29 per $1,000 of assessed value, up from about $2.25 per $1,000 this year, based on a village-wide taxable assessed value of $151.2 million. The tax levy will increase from $338,976 to $346,231, an increase of about 2.1 percent…
