COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Department of Transportation announced upcoming lane closures on Route 5 in Colonie and Niskayuna. The closures will allow for utility crews to conduct drainage work along the road.
Starting on May 19, construction will close short sections of Central Avenue between New Karner Road (Route 155) in Colonie and Balltown Road in Niskayuna, just past Route 5’s changeover to State Street. Westbound lane closures will take place on weekdays between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m., and eastbound closures will happen between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m…
