SLINGERLANDS, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A library media specialist at Slingerlands Elementary School has been placed on administrative leave in connection to an arrest in Dutchess County. According to the Bethlehem Central School District, Amanda Ingalls faces a second-degree grand larceny charge.

School officials said Ingalls was arrested after an investigation into missing student activity funds at the Wappingers Central School District during the 2023-2024 school year.
“There have been no allegations of wrongdoing during Ingalls’s employment in the Bethlehem Central School District,” Superintendent Jody Monroe said. “Ingalls has been employed in the district, at Slingerlands Elementary School only, for less than a year.”
Her arrest, however, stems from when she was employeed at the John Jay High School as a Library Media Specialist and Building Central Treasurer.
