Albuquerque officials break ground on new path for bikers and walkers

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque city officials held a special groundbreaking on a new path for bikers and walkers. They’re calling it Geneiva’s Arroyo Greenway, near University Blvd. and Buena Vista Drive. The new green space will have a long, unique shape, with views of the city.

“We have a school where kids are at every day, and we have all of our UNM athletics facilities. So in many ways this is going to literally connect these communities together. In a way that was once divided. This was an arroyo originally, and later it was just an empty dirt lot,” said Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller…
