RIO RANCHO — A man was arrested for allegedly battering police at Latitudes after he passed out in his car in the parking lot.
Henry Provencio, 19, of Albuquerque, was arrested Sept. 13 for aggravated battery upon a peace officer with a deadly weapon, two counts of aggravated assault upon a peace officer with a deadly weapon, aggravated fleeing law enforcement and criminal damage to property at Latitudes.
Police responded to a welfare check at the convenience store, according to a statement of probable cause, after staff reported a customer appeared to be passed out in their car. Another caller stated the person had been there for nearly three hours…
