ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – On Friday, hundreds of students from Rudolfo Anaya Elementary School received a brand-new pair of shoes, thanks to your generous donations. Friday morning, 550 students received a pair of shoes. Students also got a goodie bag full of socks, snacks, dental hygiene products, and a book.

KRQE spoke with the principal at Rudolph Anaya, and she said a pair of shoes can go a long way. “I’m just so excited that we were chosen for this fantastic opportunity. It means a lot to me; it supports our community…Times are kinda hard right now; we’re all going through financial struggles. And so, a brand new pair of shoes really supports not only our students, but our community and parents,” said Rebecca Maestas, Principal at Rudolfo Anaya Elementary School.
