ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Neighbors near an overnight shelter by the Sunport say trash, drug items and security problems have made them feel less safe.
The shelter has operated since November near the Waffle House by the Sunport. Neighbors said their concerns have grown, even after the shelter added cameras, overnight guards and fencing.
“We were finding needles in our streets, we were finding used condoms in the streets, bodily fluids, bottles of urine, a lot of really nasty stuff,” Lexi Green said…
