The New Mexico National Guard joined veterans, service members and community partners for Military & Veterans Day at the New Mexico State Fair in Albuquerque, Sept. 15, 2026.
Maj. Gen. Miguel Aguilar, adjutant general of New Mexico, addressed attendees at the Pavilion Stage, recognizing service members from every branch and component, military families and Gold Star Mothers.
“While our branches and components may differ, we are all united by a shared history and a single oath,” Aguilar said.
That oath took center stage during the ceremony as members of the New Mexico Army National Guard Recruit Sustainment Program swore their oaths of enlistment, administered by Capt. Zachary Jessee.…
