[1] More details released by police in investigation into school shooting in Hobbs – Around noon on Friday, Hobbs Police received multiple calls about a shooting at Highland Middle School in Hobbs. Hobbs Police found teacher Kelly Matthews outside the school by the back doors suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said a juvenile is accused of shooting Matthews. Police say they ran after the teen, where they arrested the 13-year-old soon after. He is facing multiple charges. Matthews was transported to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas where he remains in critical condition.
[2] Storms incoming around New Mexico – Large amounts of moisture will stream into the region through the first half of the week. This will heighten the flooding threat through Wednesday. With already saturated surfaces, it may not take much rain at all for major flooding to happen each day through Wednesday. Beginning Thursday, drier air will start to dominate the region.
[3] Teen killed, others injured in southwest Albuquerque crash – Just before midnight Saturday, police responded to Coors and Bridge to reports of a crash. Police said an orange Ford Mustang was speeding and ran through a red light, hitting a white pickup truck. The driver of the pickup truck was severely injured and the 15-year-old passenger was killed. The driver of the Mustang was taken to the hospital in critical condition and another passenger in the Mustang suffered life-threatening injuries…
