The duo has set its sights on introducing the healthy, blended fruit bowls and smoothies to the Duke City, with plans to open their first Rush Bowls location at 8100 Wyoming Blvd. NE, inside the La Cueva Shopping Center.
Rush Bowls is renowned for its customizable blended bowls that offer a refreshing twist on traditional smoothies. Customers can choose from various fruit combinations and add vegetables for an extra nutritional boost. Toppings range from classic granola and honey to protein-packed choices like peanut butter. The menu caters to diverse dietary preferences and includes options for adding protein powder.
What sets this venture apart is the Scheers’ commitment to providing job opportunities for neurodivergent and differently-abled individuals. Their decision to prioritize inclusivity stems from personal experience, particularly their daughter, who has Down syndrome. Travis Davis, an advocate for disability awareness and someone with cerebral palsy, has been hired to manage the Rush Bowls Albuquerque location.
