Woman involved in Albuquerque crash blows 4x legal limit, takes plea deal

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque Police Department (APD) arrested a woman for her fourth DWI after she crashed into a parked truck last year. At first, she denied any involvement, but APD pressed her for information, leading to a change in her story.

Angelique Marvin hit a man’s truck behind a gas station in northwest Albuquerque back in November then walked away.

Marvin would later blow a .32, which is four times the legal limit. This led to her fourth conviction for DWI.

Witnesses at the scene told APD Officer Francisco Medrano that she dumped evidence before ditching the car.

Officer Medrano questioned Marvin, who denied knowing anything about what happened.

She slipped up a few minutes later when asked again about the car’s owner, now saying it belonged to her boyfriend. Marvin had also denied having her ID, but she changed her story again and claimed it was in the car.

After another officer arrived, Officer Medrano searched the car and said he found a cup with whiskey or rum in the cup holder.
