Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – 24-year-old Adamaris Martinez, is accused of driving drunk into oncoming traffic before a deadly crash on Paseo del Norte, last month. Martinez is charged with DWI-related vehicular homicide and great bodily harm by vehicle for the January 21st crash that killed 25-year-old Jade Lucero. Police responded before 1:00 a.m. to a crash involving a wrong-way driver on westbound Paseo del Norte, just west of Jefferson. Police say the man driving Lucero told them he tried to swerve out of the way, but she mirrored his movements and crashed into them. Police report, Martinez smelled heavily of alcohol, with slurred speech, failing multiple sobriety tests.
