Federal authorities charge 2 for machine gun case in Los Lunas

LOS LUNAS, N.M. — A man accused of selling machine gun conversion devices to an undercover federal agent faces charges, along with his alleged partner in the case.

Federal agents arrested 23-year-old Robert Gurule and 21-year-old Izatah Hausner on Friday after the two men allegedly sold them 80 machine gun conversion devices and additional firearms worth $11,500.

The case started in August and September when an undercover Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agent identified Gurule as advertising firearms and suspected machine guns for sale on Facebook. The ads allegedly contained videos showing him handling and firing a fully automatic weapon…
