SANDOVAL COUNTY — A new Department of War contract will have a direct impact on Sandoval County.
On Wednesday, as part of its attempt to build an “Aesenal of Freedom,” the department, formerly the Department of Defense, announced framework agreements with “new entrants and commercial innovators,” including Castelion Corporation, “to aggressively expand the United States military’s strike capabilities,” according to a release.
Under the agreement, Castelion will manufacutre and field Blackbird, a low-cost hypersonic missile, once testing and validation is complete, the company stated in a release.
