U.S. Park Police investigating fatal crash in Northwest DC after a passenger was ejected during the collision

WASHINGTON — A person was ejected and died after a crash in Northwest, DC.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, a driver crashed into a car at the intersection of 17th Street NW and Constitution Avenue NW. The suspect fled on foot by was quickly captured by members of the U.S. Secret Service Uniformed Division and transferred into the custody of the U.S. Park Police.

The driver of the second car was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries however, the passenger of that car was ejected during the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. They were transported by the District of Columbia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner…
