WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A Northeast D.C. shooting left a teenage boy hospitalized Friday night, police said.
Just after 9:30 p.m. Friday, Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the 1300 block of Rhode Island Avenue NE for gunshots reportedly heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a shooting had taken place in the 1400 block of Rhode Island Avenue, but did not find a victim, according to MPD.
However, a short time later, police said a teen boy was found injured at the intersection of 4th and W Streets NE. Medics transported him to the hospital for treatment.
