D.C. Man Faces DUI, Cocaine And Assault Charges After Calvert Traffic Stop

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Washington, D.C., man is facing multiple criminal charges after Maryland State Police alleged a traffic stop for erratic driving led to the discovery of suspected cocaine. Investigators also allege he later assaulted a correctional officer while being processed at the Calvert County Detention Center, according to court documents.

Dontay DeAngelo Scott, 49, of Washington, D.C., was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with possession of a controlled dangerous substance other than cannabis, possession of a controlled dangerous substance while confined in a detention facility, second-degree assault and second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer.
