BALTIMORE, Md. — Severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, isolated tornadoes and localized flash flooding are expected across the Mid-Atlantic region Thursday afternoon and evening, according to forecasters.
The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook Thursday morning covering the District of Columbia, central Maryland, northern Virginia and broad stretches of the Chesapeake Bay and Tidal Potomac River.
