WASHINGTON — A man is in the hospital after a crash on Constitution Avenue in D.C. briefly closed the heavily-trafficked road during the morning rush. By 10 a.m. the road was back open.
According to DC Police, officers responded to the intersection of Constitution Avenue and 15th Street Northwest for a crash between a sedan and an SUV just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Responding officers say one of the drivers had gotten out of his car and the driver of the SUV was trapped in his vehicle.
Emergency personnel were able to free the trapped driver from the SUV. He was taken to the hospital with what police called serious injuries…
