WASHINGTON (WISH) — Just days after the Indianapolis 500, IndyCar fans can begin requesting free general admission tickets for the inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix on the streets of Washington, D.C., organizers announced Friday.
The IndyCar Series auto race will be on the National Mall on Aug. 22-23 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The street circuit design was revealed in March.
The online request window for free general admission tickets will extend from May 29 through June 7. Fans can request two-day tickets for both Aug. 22 and 23, or single-day tickets for either Aug 22 or 23 . Ticket requests will be selected through a random Ticketmaster drawing after June 7, with registrants notified by email regarding their ticket fulfillment…
