Protesters rally outside Clark Construction over possible ICE headquarters in Southeast

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Dozens of protesters gathered outside Clark Construction’s office in Northwest D.C. on Monday, calling on the company not to move forward with a possible ICE facility planned for Southeast D.C.

The rally comes after a nearly $300 million federal investment announced in 2023 included plans to move Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) headquarters to the St. Elizabeth’s West Campus in Southeast.

According to Clark Construction’s website, the company plans to complete a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) project at the St. Elizabeth’s location by 2027.
