Quakertown Borough Manager, Police Chief back at work on reduced schedule as borough manager, after student-led anti-ICE protests

QUAKERTOWN, Pa. – Quakertown Borough Manager and Police Chief Scott McElree is back to work on a reduced schedule, as he continues to recover from injuries he got at a February student-led anti-ICE protest.

A video showed Borough Council announcing the news at the Quakertown council meeting Wednesday night. The video showed numerous people in attendance reacting negatively to the announcement.

Council did not specify whether he has yet returned to his role as police chief in addition to resuming his role as borough manager…
