Truck trailer causes canopy to fall in Northampton County

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. – The canopy of a Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) building entrance in Northampton County fell onto a truck with a trailer attached on Friday afternoon.

The accident happened at the LVHN Health Center at Bangor in Washington Township around 12:30 p.m., according to county dispatchers.

The truck’s trailer was too tall to drive underneath the canopy, causing the canopy to dislodge after the truck tried to drive under the entrance, police reported.

Washington Township police and fire crews responded to the scene.

Officials say that there were no injuries and no entrapment…
