Two people die in their Lehigh County homes due to extreme heat: Coroner

Two individuals passed away due to extreme heat conditions in their homes in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, according to the coroner’s report.

Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio shared that on Tuesday, May 19, a 78-year-old man died inside his home in Washington Township at approximately 5:56 p.m. Shortly after, a 76-year-old man from Allentown died after being transported to the hospital at 6:41 p.m.

Buglio stated that both deaths were caused by hyperthermia and classified the manner of death as accidental. It was noted that both men had been exposed to extreme heat in their residences…
