ATLANTA — The MaxPreps Game of the Week heads to Georgia for a showdown between nationally-ranked powers Friday, Sept. 18, when No. 7 Buford travels to face No. 13 Grayson (Loganville).
Buford is the reigning MaxPreps National Champion after finishing 15-0 with a Class AAAAAA state title last fall. Grayson went 12-1 last season and reached the Class AAAAAA state quarterfinals.
The two programs have combined to win 19 state championships with 18 of those coming in the 2000s. They have won the last two in the state’s highest classification with Buford capturing the AAAAAA title last year and Grayson in 2024…
