Years before he was tapped to open Suwanee’s biggest concert of the summer, singer and songwriter Cody Matlock was playing for diners at a small restaurant — Seaside Coastal Kitchen — just down the road. Back then, he was honing his craft one set at a time, performing for crowds gathered over baskets of fried shrimp and sweet tea.
On Saturday, he’ll return to the city in a very different role — taking the stage at Town Center Park as the opening act for The Calling at Suwanee’s annual August Concert.
