The Cherokee County Aquatic Center is set to be named after Cherokee County Commission Chairman Harry Johnston, who has served on the Board of Commissioners for over 20 years.
On Tuesday, commissioners unanimously voted to rename the Cherokee County Aquatic Center the “Harry Johnston Aquatic Center.”
The chairman told the Tribune Wednesday that this is “a tremendous honor” that was “completely unexpected.”…
