A Cherokee County, Georgia, sheriff’s corporal is now on administrative leave after authorities identified him as the alleged owner of an anonymous Facebook page used to target a woman he had arrested a year earlier.
The revelation involving Corporal Charles Mills emerged September 22, when the Cherokee County Solicitor General’s Office confirmed that Mills created and owned the page, according to WSB-TV. The Sheriff’s Office has requested an independent investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The page, called “Not So Noble,” has since been deleted.
