Forecasters warn strong storms to move into area Wednesday night

Forecasters are warning that strong storms could move through Northeast Georgia tonight into tomorrow morning.

The latest briefing from the National Weather Service’s (NWS) Peachtree City office says a line of storms bringing heavy rains, damaging winds and isolated hail are expected to arrive in the region late Wednesday afternoon and continue through Thursday morning.

Hall, Gwinnett, Barrow, Forsyth, Jackson, Banks, Dawson, Franklin, Madison and Clarke counties are all listed under a level 2 severe weather threat from the NWS. That level includes a risk for wind gusts over 60 miles per hour, isolated hail up to the size of a quarter and a possibility for isolated tornadoes…
