Canyon Elks Lodge 2887 will hold a special ceremony June 14 to commemorate Flag Day. The ceremony will be at 6 p.m. at the VFW Post 430 building on 2200 Soncy (VFW Road).
Due to current fire danger, the club will not retire flags by burning. However, if someone wants to bring a flag to be retired, members will accept it and save it until it can be retired safely, according to Canyon Elks Lodge 2887 Chaplain Mike Montgomery.
