Two of Amarillo’s bigger employers, BSA Health System and Bell Textron, released statements about reported layoffs in the area.
According to BSA, 29 positions were impacted locally, while Bell said 30 were impacted at its Amarillo facility.
“Approximately 285 employees have been impacted by a reduction in force at Bell facilities in Amarillo, Fort Worth, and Wichita,” Bell Textron said in a company statement. “Of this number, approximately 30 are impacted in Amarillo.
