We are waking up to a partly cloudy sky with lows in the 60’s. As the day unfolds, a partly sunny sky is expected with southeasterly winds of 10 to 25 mph. Temperatures will respond, warming into the 80’s and 90’s. Amarillo should top out near 94. Tomorrow, Father’s Day, could see highs close to 100, while Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday look to top out in the 80’s and low 90’s.
Regarding rainfall, as of this writing, a 30% to 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms will be possible later today, and again for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Severe weather should be limited to sudden high winds, lightning, pockets of hail, and locally heavy downpours…
