AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Officials with The Commons at St. Anthony’s announced they are set to celebrate the grand opening of a redevelopment project bringing affordable housing for active adults to Amarillo’s North Heights neighborhood.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks from development and community leaders are scheduled at 11 a.m. The public will get a chance to tour the facility on Saturday at 10 a.m.
The release stated that the development, built on the site of the former St. Anthony’s Hospital, provides 124 affordable apartment homes for adults age 55 and older, including studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.
