One City. One Day. One Huge Act of Generosity for Sick Kids in Amarillo

The one thing we love and adore about Amarillo is the giving hearts. In a world where all you seem to hear is the negative, there are moments so big that they bring joy.

That joy filled the top floor of ANB Plaza 1 on Thursday, May 7, in downtown Amarillo. It was Children’s Miracle Network‘s Mediathon Day. It was a day when 101.9 the Bull, 96.9 KISS FM, 98.7 The Bomb, Mix 94.1, and our friends at KAMR came together with volunteers. Local businesses like Street Volkswagen and Northwest Texas Hospital worked the phone banks, while others like BCL Construction and Roofing, Little Bees Playhouse, and iPow matched donations dollar for dollar. Even the family members of the CMN director worked the phone bank for one hour and raised over $10,000.

Amarillo Answers the Call for Children’s Miracle Network

We shared the stories of children and their families, helped by the Children’s Miracle Network. Many of these families have children who are battling cancer, rare diseases, or genetic disorders. The one thing that kept them both mentally and financially was the help that CMN provided these families.

One Family’s Medication Cost $22,000

If it wasn’t for CMN, Koa wouldn’t be alive…
