Man pleads guilty for April 2025 pharmacy robbery

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — One man has pleaded guilty to the robbery of controlled substances from a pharmacy that occurred in April 2025.

According to court documents, filed on May 21, Javonn Terrel Lewis pleaded guilty to his count two charge of his indictment, “Robbery of Controlled Substances from a Pharmacy.” Lewis was indicted in February for one count of alleged “Conspiracy to Commit Robbery of Controlled Substances from a Pharmacy” and alleged “Robbery of Controlled Substances from a Pharmacy.”

Documents note that Lewis faces a maximum sentence of 20 years, a fine of up to $250,000, a term of up to three years of supervised release, and possible restitution to victims or to the community.

In court documents, Lewis admitted that he did take or attempt to take a controlled substance by force from a pharmacy in April 2025. Documents state that Lewis took pills that included Oxycodone and Percocet, and the pharmacy reported that 2,152 pills had been taken.
