AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A Texas Panhandle disaster relief coalition is expanding recovery efforts for residents impacted by a series of recent wildfires, while also organizing a major resource event this weekend in Amarillo to connect survivors with assistance agencies and cleanup crews.
The Texas Panhandle VOAD — Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster — announced it is coordinating recovery resources for households affected by multiple wildfire incidents across the region over the past month, including the Kress Fire, Hungate Fire and Stinky Fire.
